Job Title: Manufacturing Associate
Department/Group: Production
Location: Hornell, NY, USA
Position Type: Full-Time

Role & Key Responsibilities

  1. Trained in various manufacturing skills including but not limited to winding, soldering, assembly, testing, measuring, stamping, inspecting, packing, etc.
  2. Must follow the visual aids for each task performed along with the training received from Department Leads/trainers.
  3. Responsible for understanding and performing to the requirements of DYCO’s Quality Management System (QMS).
  4. Must be able to inspect and approve your own work before submitting it to the appropriate Department Lead for movement to the next station.
  5. Will be required to properly fill out and follow all process documentation.
  6. Will be required to meet the manufacturing rate for the tasks you perform.
  7. Responsible for cleanliness, 5S, of your work areas.
  8. Responsible for Health and Safety of yourself and the other employees in the department.
  9. Any other tasks or responsibilities assigned by DYCO Management.

Qualifications & Education Requirements\
Minimum of High School diploma or relevant work experience

Preferred Skills
Must have good work ethic, (attendance, punctuality, and attitude). Must be motivated for continuous  self improvement and to follow instructions and pay attention to detail.

Job Title: Materials Clerk
Department/Group: Purchasing – Logistics
Location: Hornell, NY, USA
Position Type: Full-Time

Role & Key Responsibilities

  1. Perform Packaging and Shipping including data entry and associate paperwork.
    1. Ability to follow process documents precisely and consistently for each shipment.
    2. Strong clerical skills with strength of being detail oriented.
    3. Ability to coordinate with associated domestic and global freight companies.
  2. Ability to prioritize and work multiple tasks to meet business demands.
  3. Knowledge and ability to perform tasks relating to quality requirements, preferably with ISO or AS9100D quality management systems.
  4. Take initiative with the resolving warehouse operations issues when they arrive.
  5. Warehouse organization and cleanliness (workplace organization, 5S).
  6. Perform inventory cycle counts.
  7. Aptitude with business software processing with general inventory and quality functions (ERP background preferred).
  8. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  9. Cross training
    1. Receiving, Incoming Inspection
    2. Kit Processing
  10. Other tasks or responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Education Requirements\
Prior experience with warehouse clerical administrative duties

Preferred Skills
Strong communication skills for working with warehouse operator/lead, production leads, office personnel, suppliers and freight companies. Takes direction from lead persons. Ability to follow processes closely and consistently. Willingness to help resolve issues. Ability to work at different tasks assigned in order to meet business demands. Aptitude with ERP or business software for keeping accurate inventory including cycle counts or general inventory counting. General knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel minimum) for accurate record keeping.
